Ponderings

I was listening to Walid Shoebat from the Southern California Prophecy Conference 2008 on You Tube. He said something very interesting. In referring to

Matthew 10:16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."

Jesus is warning His disciples that they will be persecuted. Paraphrasing Walid, he stated, "if you don't have any wolves in your life then maybe you aren't sheep."

So, going back to the church of Thyatira, who is going to be thrown into great tribulation? Those who commit adultery with her (Jezebel) unless they repent of their deeds. Are they literally having sex with Jezebel? Well, maybe some of those at the actual church of Thyatira were commiting adultery. What is worse sexual adultery or spiritual adultery? Both can be recovered from through repentance and a determination to not indulge in that behavior again. To me spiritual adultery is worse, because it is a betrayal of a sinless Savior who was horribly brutalized and died for me.

Marital adultery is horrible, but truthfully, it is commited by one fallen human against another fallen human. Who in a marriage has never wronged their partner in some way? It is a two way street of hurt and forgiveness between a husband and wife. But when has Jesus Christ ever sinned against His betrothed?

What I observed in the "signs and wonders, prophetic movement" is an adultery against Jesus Christ. An adultery that many refuse to acknowledge. It's an adultery that is protected by twisting scripture. It is an adultery that says "Don't Judge."

As the Bride of Christ, doesn't He admonish us to make righteous judgment?

John 7:24 "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."

What is Jesus talking about here? Isn't He saying to judge everything in light of God's Word. Isn't that where true righteousness is found?

We don't know what is in a person heart. And we can't judge a person by their appearance or standing in a society. But we do know what the Word of God states in

Matthew 12:34, 35 "Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." 35 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things."

Therefore, when men and women in leadership are twisting scriptures to justify opening portals, bringing forth manifestations of gold dust, feathers, gemstones, etc. from suspect sources, do we not have the right to judge those things. Of course we do! If we don't judge them or someone informs us that these things are not of God and we go on with them aren't we unrepentant adulterers?

Are these things worth the tribulation to you? Do you justify the wolves and protect them with the mantra of "Don't Judge!" If you do, might you be a goat or a tare and not sheep or wheat????
