A Seed? An only Son for a Sacrifice? God's provision for that Sacrifice? Obedience unto death? Where is that one Seed going to originate? As I referenced in Part I of this Blog according to Isaiah 7:13-14 and Luke 1:26-35 that seed is coming from the House of David conceived by a virgin. This is further attested to in Jeremiah 23:5. Jeremiah 23:5-6 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. 6 In his days Judah shall be saved and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS . In Hebrew "The Lord Our Righteousness" is translated Jehovah-tsidkenu. Therefore, this clarifies that He is God. Further clarification that this is God is recorded in Exodus. The Passover lamb must be without spot. The Word of God is a trail that must be followed. When it is investigated and all the pieces are ferreted out, then they must be viewed as a whole. Where is our first clue concerning the Passover lamb? We find our first clue in Genesis Chapter 22. It is the story of Abraham obeying God by taking Isaac up to the mountain that God would show him in the land of Moriah. Abraham was taking Isaac up there to offer him as a sacrifice to God. Genesis 22:1-2 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
