A Paradox

Paradox - a statement that seems contradictory, absurd, etc. but may be true in fact, 2 a statement that contradicts itself and is false 3 a person, situation, etc. that seems inconsistent or full of contradictions --Webster's definitions.

How can a Christian also be a Baal Worshipper? Hosea 4:6 NKJV My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. And the rest of that verse continues, Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

That's what led me into Baal Worship. I just sort of fell into it because, quite frankly, I didn't know what Baal Worship was/is. It is a journey I recently started.

And so I want to share my journey. I hope that it will bless you. I hope that it will open your eyes to the truth of God's Word. I hope that if you too have inadvertently fallen into Baal worship the information you find here will help you. I hope it will help you identify Baal practices, repent of any you are involved in and help others see the truth.

For the basics:

If you're a Christian then probably your only familarity with Baal is Elijah, the Prophet's, mocking of the prophets of Baal. Those Baal prophets were in the employee of Queen Jezebel who was married to Israel's King, Ahab. You can find the details of this incident in I Kings 18:20-40. And if you've read your bible from cover to cover you will find mention of Baal and Baal worship throughout the Old Testament. It was a constant snare to the children of Israel and drew them away from worshipping their God, the only true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

In order to understand what Baal worship is definitions are important. According to Smith's Bible Dictionary (1962), Baal, the supreme male divinity of the Phoenician and Canaanitish nations, as Ashtoreth was their supreme female divinity. Some suppose Baal to correspond to the sun and Ashtoreth to the moon; others that Baal was Jupiter and Ashtoreth Venus. There can be no doubt of the very high antiquity of the worship of Baal. It prevailed in the time of Moses among the Moabite and Midiantes, Numbers 22:41 and through them spread to the Israelites.

The definition goes on to clarify - We find this worship also in Phoenician colonies. The religion of the ancient British islands much resembled this ancient worship of Baal, and may have been derived from it.

There is more but this information will suffice for a background in Baal worship. What is more pertinent to the understanding of Baal worship are the actual names of Baal and the definitions.

In these definitions one can identify the activities that a Baal worshipper is actually engaging in whether it is unwitting or not does not diminish the consequences.

Baal-berith (the covenant Baal) Judges 8:33; 9:4; the god who comes into covenant with the worshippers.

Baal-zebub (lord of the fly), and worshipped at Ekron. 2 Kings 1:2, 3, 16. On a separate note in Tom Horn's book, "Nephilim Stargates The Year 2012 and the Return of the Watchers," page 102 Beelzebub -Satan, prince of devils, lord of those that fly is how Baal-zebub is defined. It is important here to note the difference in the definitions because Tom Horn's definition takes on a whole new meaning when you consider that "lord of those that fly" would refer to fallen angels especially those appearing as messengers of light. This topic will be discussed in further detail at a later time.

Baal-peor (lord of the opening, i.e. for others to join in the worship). The narrative (Numbers 25) seems clearly to show that this form of Baal-worship was connected with licentious rites.
