"The Twilight Saga" and the Issue of Blood, Breath and Eyes
Vampires drink blood. The Cullens are somehow portrayed as a cut above other vampires because they only drink the blood of animals. I don't think anyone who saw the movies can forget the scene in "New Moon," as the men, women and children are being led into the inner chamber of the Volturi to be slaughtered like sheep. Or the scene in "Eclipse," where the newborn army is feasting and fighting over the human beings they have captured for their bloodfeast. What does God have to say about the consumption of blood?
Breath: apparently the toxic venom of vampires can be expired through their breath to daze their intended victim. On page 92 of "Twilight" Edward breathes on Bella and she is immediately dazed and her mind goes blank. But we find that the breath of God gives life in
It is interesting to note here that it does not say that God breathed into Eve's nostrils instead He took one of Adam's ribs which already had the life of Adam's blood contained within the bone and marrow of that rib to form Eve. I am making an assumption but it is reasonable to consider that it was unnecessary for God to breathe into Eve's nostrils because the blood contained in Adam's rib would have carried the necessary oxygen of life to Eve's body. However, there is no way for me to ascertain this information. But it is interesting to think that while Adams rib gave life to Eve's body, Edwards bite takes life out of Bella and makes her devoid of blood. In the New Testament we also find that Jesus imparted the Holy Ghost by breathing on the disciples after His resurrection.

Once again I have to consider that the "Twilight Saga" was produced by a supernatural force that knows the scriptures of the Bible and every nuance contained in them. Is it not interesting that vampires do not sleep and that Bella stumbles through life even when there is nothing over which to stumble in her path. Satan's whole agenda since he was cast out of heaven has been to overthrow God and defile God's creation, man. The "Twilight" saga is just another weapon in his arsenal to draw people away from God and into an eternal seperation from God. To become a vampire promises a life of immortality and prefection if you can avoid being killed by vampire hunters, shape shifters and rival vampires. The truth is that the entire human race is going to become immortal. The question is will that immortality be with God in eternity or will that immortality be in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8, Revelation 20:14, I Corinthians 6:9, Galatians 5:19, Ephesians 5:5, I Timothy 1:9.)
If the fans of "Twilight" go to church it is doubtful in this day of apostate christianity that they have even heard a teaching on any of the scriptures I have cited. They probably have no idea it is forbidden to eat blood. They have no idea that Bella's stumbling and desire to become a vampires represents a wicked heart. They have no idea that Edward is not offering her life but death in every sense of the word for eternity. Edward is very clear about who he is and his character. He states that he is a monster and a murderer and that becoming what he is will destroy her soul. But Bella doesn't care.
I think the fans of "Twilight" sum up how vacuous the times are in which we live. They hound the actor, Robert Pattinson, begging him to bite them. Some of them are very young, where are their mothers? The actor finds this behavior bizarre and I daresay unnerving. Why else would he choose the long lonely drive across Texas, from Los Angeles to New Orleans for the shooting of Breaking Dawn. The vampire culture of blood drinking does indeed cut them off from humanity, from society, and most especially from God. Drinking animal blood instead of human blood does not save them nor does it make them better somehow than other vampires. Blood is blood. Blood has a voice that God can hear,

Either way, if you are turned into a vampire or simply killed by one, it is death. It is interesting to note that the fifth chapter of Proverbs is about Wisdom.
