Break Time

It is time for a respite from the machinations of an ancient, superior, immortal being -- albeit a created being and not the CREATOR. I love the Word of God, the Bible, it says of itself in

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10. I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

These verses here in Jeremiah are a relief to me. I know how rotten the course of my thoughts run through a day and so does God. I simply can't hide it from Him. So, I've made a practice of just trying to acknowlege that deceitfulness and wickedness before Him and trust in the Savior God sent for me --

John 3:16-20 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 1:1 & 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

To me when I read the Bible I am handling the Word that was made flesh and dwelt among us -- it is the greatest honor to me to have access to that living word and that Jesus would so humble Himself to allow himself to be perceived in a printed format -- simply astoudning and amazing!!!!!!!!!!! The comfort I find in knowing that if I should die it would put me in the prescence of the Lord

II Corinthians 5:6-8 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7. (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

It is simply amazing to me that millions of Catholics around the world believe they will be in purgatory suffering when they die -- WHY? Didn't Jesus suffer on the Cross in their place and when He gave up the Ghost, He declared it was finished!! Yet, because they do not read the Word of God nor realize that each and every Pope that ever was is a fallen man sujbect to their own wicked hearts as denoted in Jeremiah - they miss the exceedingly great and precious promise made to them by the Word of God for all who have accepted the shed Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross!! Do you want your life changed -- read the Word of God and believe!
