A Woman Rides the Beast in "twilight"

There are two scenes in the "Twilight" movie that I considered to be absurd. Both were when Edward threw Bella on his back and moved at lightning speed. I also wondered at the scene in "New Moon" in Volterra the signifigance of all the scarlett robes and later Edward dons a red robe of his own. It came to me this morning that what I was seeing was the symbology for the woman of Revelation who rides the beast.

Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

We are told in the next two verses who that woman is

Revelation 17:4-5 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: and upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Once again this body of work is about more than a silly teenage love story.

This book is about destroying everything innocent in its path. The woman of chapter 17 of Revelation is a representation of the fallen church of Jesus Christ. One doesn't have to do much looking around to realize the church has apostasized at an alarming rate. When I was a little girl church was about the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ that led people to Godly sorrow, which led to repentance and acceptance of the work of the Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross. This repentance and acceptance of the free gift of salvation was followed by water baptism and the future hope for the day of resurrection if you died before the rapture or catching away of the Bride of Christ which occurs before the Great and Terrible Day of God's Wrath coming upon the whole world. Now you go to church to get life coaching for your finances, marriage, college, career, childrearing, etc. Many pastors don't even believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ nor His Resurrection from the dead and Ascension into Heaven. You wonder why they are even Pastors. Many churches embrace other religions. Many pastor believe there is more than one way to Heaven. The churches where Bible inspired hymns are sung has been replaced with rock 'n' roll bands performing. By the time I made my adult commitment to Christ the rock and roll bands were already playing in the church, the year was 1976. So, fast forward thirty-six years and church is about feeling good about yourself and having a good life!! Like Bella on Edwards back the Church has already climbed up on the beast and is moving like lightning toward the culmination of Lucifer's five I Wills. Satan is vile beyond imagination and a master of deception. He could not possibly garner the endorsement of the church with a vile and filthy novel of vampire lust and love for young innocent teenage girls and young pre-teen girls. But he could gain the endorsement of the church with a heroic, chaste vampire looking out for the welfare of teenage girls virture and eternal souls. I Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour: Do you really think it was a coincidence when Edward said to Bella on page 274,

"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb . . .," Bella's reply, "What a stupid lamb," and again Edward's response "What a sick, masochistic lion."

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

 Once again double entendre is used here -- there are two lions in the bible there is the one who walks about AS a roaring lion and then there is the true lion in

Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Edward referes to himself as a lion on page 216

"More like the lion, or so they tell me,"

and again the previous reference on page 274. But I have to wonder if the quote on page 274 doesn't have the second meaning of Jesus being a sick masochistic lion for laying His life down on the Cross for stupid lambs (humanity.)

Time is running out, consider your soul before the door closes on this age of grace, because next up is the Tribulation and Satan finally gets to execute his rage on humanity through his beast system.
