Itching ears - heap up ticklers - ears and ticklers both are cursed



I was finishing up I Corinthians this morning and verse 22 caught my attention.

I Corinthians 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
It was followed by 2 citations so I followed them to Galatians 1:8 and Jude 14.

What is anathema?  According to Webster's Dictionary:

anathema 1. a thing or person accursed 2. a thing or person greatly detested 3. a formal curse, as in excommunicating a person from a church 4. any strong curse.
On then to Galatians:

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

but we need to look at more of that text,

Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Jude 14 doesn't make much sense unless you read through to verse 19.

Jude 14-19 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. 16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.      
Add to these two passages -

II Timothy 4:2-4 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 
Every Sunday around the world in thousands of churches fables are being taught.  Completely preposterous things that have nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ which is a gospel of repentance.  Yes, the ministers in these churches will be accursed but so will be the millions of church goers who flock to the churches of preposterous, prosperity teaching, money demanding ministers. 

Does any of the laity in these churches read their bibles EVER???

Just this past weekend I got an email from an "aquaintance" wanting to catch up since they've moved to California.  Unfortunately, they specifically moved to California to be part of Bill Johnson's Bethel Church in Redding.  Bill Johnson is a heretic.  When I replied to that email and informed her of Bill Johnson's heretic standing she replied back that she was sorry that's how I felt but that she KNEW it was the Holy Spirit that had led she and her husband out there and wonderful things had happened for them.

Please understand I was a total fool and itching ear aficianado myself.  There was a day and time when I was falling for the gold dust, gemstone, feather foolishness, but thankfully God in His mercy revealed to me my sin.  I then broke company with all such nonsense.

So, if your loved ones are involved in one of these ministries -- don't quit praying for them and when you can, speak the truth in love about these ministries.  And if you are in one of these churches GET OUT NOW and REPENT.

But know this those who won't leave this garbage and cling to the true gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the pages of scripture are accursed!!

What is in a name? "Twilight's" name game.

Everything! The meaning of my name truly personifies me. I always like to arrange the meanings of names into a cohesive thought which by neccessity sometimes takes the name out of it's given order. Fortunate but bitter rope that constrains would be the cohesive meaning for my given names but it is in reverse order with my surname, middle name and first name last.
