He is Risen - Easter 2020

Happy Easter - He is Risen!
This morning I enjoyed my coffee in the garden with Alex. The beautiful music of the sound of children laughing and playing caught the attention of both Alex and myself.
I love that sound. Since COVID19, I have had the great pleasure of hearing the sound of children, laughing, playing, riding their bikes, skateboards, scooters. Walking with their parents and their pets up and down the hike and bike trail.
This Easter Season as I contemplate the great gift of a Jewish Savior, the Messiah, the Passover Lamb, the One that takes away the sin of the world, Jesus Christ, I've also contemplated the great sin of our country.
The realization that the music of millions upon millions of children has been silenced across our nation and the globe is a shadow we all bear.
There are people who claim Christ as Lord and Savior and yet they not only condone, but vote year after year to silence the music of children. I can't help but wonder how they reconcile their Christianity with their participation in murder.
When they hear their children and their grandchildren and great grandchildren laugh, do they cry for all the laughter they helped silence?
When they read God's Word and He says, though shalt not kill, do they say to God, I know better than you, killing their own children is a woman's right, God? It's not your body, it's hers.
And do they really think that will fly on Judgment Day?
And can one really be a Christian, when they think they can usurp God's authority?
These are things I think about . . .

The Christian World has been sending out pleas to pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Will God hear those prayers knowing that many in the USA and I'm sure elsewhere will go and vote to murder the unborn?  It's in the Democratic Platform, if that is the party you vote then you vote to murder the unborn.

If you won't hear the cries of children as they are being ripped to shreds in their mothers wombs, or drowned in chemicals, why would you think God will hear your prayers.

Repent this Easter Sunday and vote for life in the fall.
