The Rapture, a Word from the Lord

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "There is peace and security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day.  I Thessalonians 4:13 - 5:5

The teaching of the rapturo, harpazo, cathcing away, rapture - whatever you want to call it was taught by Paul to the Thessalonians as a WORD FROM THE LORD. This event will happen. NO ONE KNOWS WHEN!! But if we are children of God and of the light and of the day - then we SHOULD ABSOLUTELY know the TIMES and SEASONS.
This world is spinning out of control and if you can't see/feel the escalation in LABOR PAINS - then the harsh reality is that you may not actually be a child of God.
There are tares among the wheat and goats among the sheep. In other words there are people who say they are Christians but they are not.

It is imperative that each of us examine ourselves to make sure we are of the household of God.

It is each individuals duty who names Christ as Lord and Savior to thoroughly read God's written word on a continual basis. It is your guidebook to this life and the life to come.

What is in a name? "Twilight's" name game.

Everything! The meaning of my name truly personifies me. I always like to arrange the meanings of names into a cohesive thought which by neccessity sometimes takes the name out of it's given order. Fortunate but bitter rope that constrains would be the cohesive meaning for my given names but it is in reverse order with my surname, middle name and first name last. So what is in the name Edward Anthony Masen Cullen. Edward is translated rich guard and while there was no clear meaning for Anthony the best I could find was flourishing. Masen is another spelling for Mason which means stone worker. Masons are actually a society of people with esoteric practices known only to its members. The true meanings of those practices are known only to the highest of initiates.
