The Wicked Can Never be Satisfied. The Days of Lot . . .
This is the account of the angels who came to Sodom to remove Lot and his family before God destroyed Sodom along with Gommorrah.
Genesis 19:1-11 The two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them and bowed himself with his face to the earth 2 and said, "My lords, please turn aside to your servant's house and spend the night and wash your feet. Then you may rise up early and go on your way." They said, "No; we will spend the night in the town square." 3 But he pressed them strongly; so they turned aside to him and entered his house. And he made them a feast and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both young and old, all the people to the last man, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us, that we may know them." 6 Lot went out to the men at the entrance, shut the door after him, 7 and said, "I beg you, my brothers, do not act so wickedly. 8 Behold, I have two daughters who have not known any man. Let me bring then out to you, and do to them as you please. Only do nothing to these men, for they have come under the shelter of my roof." 9 But they said, " Stand back!" And they said, "This fellow came to sojourn, and he has become the judge! Now we will deal worse with you than with them." Then they pressed hard against the man Lot, and drew near to break the door down. 10 But the men reached out their hands and brought Lot into the house with them and shut the door. 11 And they struck with blindness the men who were at the entrance of the house, both small and great, so that they wore themselves out groping for the door.
This passage explains so much of where we are today in God's timeline. First, the angels came to remove Lot before destruction was meted out to a city beyond wicked wickedness. The truly righteous will be removed before God's destruction comes upon this earth. It's always God's pattern. Yes, bad things happen to both saints and sinners but God's destruction is reserved for the ungodly.
Second, it should be noted that both the young and the old surrounded the house to the last man in the city. Young then, and young today, have two different meanings. Generally speaking there was no such thing as a teenager even in recent history. The teenager was basically created by Madison Avenue after WWII. When you reached adolescence you were considered an adult. So, the youngest in Sodom could have been about twelve or thirteen years old. Once we allow wickedness to breach the wall it seeks to defile even the youngest among us.
Thirdly, trying to reason or even beg does not move the wicked from wanting to do wickedly. First, Lot begged them not to act in this wicked manner. When begging didn't work Lot offered them another avenue by which to consummate their wicked deeds. He offered his daughters. They didn't want his daughters, that wasn't enough for the people of Sodom.
It is interesting to note that the evil men of Sodom referred to Lot as a sojourner. Those who belong to the household of God, those purchased with the Blood of Jesus Christ are exactly that, sojourners here. We are all waiting to go home. There response to Lot's begging and offer of his daughters instead of the angels elicited a hostile response of anger to do even worse to Lot than what they had intended to do to the angels. That is the same reaction occurring today when the righteous implore the wicked to stop.
Finally, the angels reached out and removed Lot from the midst of the wicked angry crowd and struck the entire crowd with blindness. Did they go home? NO!! They wore themselves out trying to find the door. Wickedness is truly insatiable.
Where does that leave us here in modernity? Well, the LBGT agenda invaded our schools a long time ago down to the primary school level. It long ago invaded the entertainment industry. It has invaded the work place so that if you speak out against the LBGT agenda you can lose your job. You can have your You tube videos removed and be censored in any public forum if you have negative comments about the LBGT community. They finally got their desire to marry one another sanctioned by the Supreme Court. The LBGT agenda is being upheld in many "Christian" churches. If you try and pass legislation that will protect the righteous/religious, your state is sanctioned financially by large corporations and chastised by the entertainment industry cancelling their performances or refusing to shoot films in your state. Now they want free access to public restrooms, so that men can go into women's bathrooms and women can go into men's bathrooms.
Any sane person can see that we can never give them enough. Like the men of Sodom the LBGT community and those who support them have been struck with blindness. They can't see that they are headed for annihilation from a Righteous and Holy God. They have no sanctity and in their blindness they are groping to strip every human being on this planet from anything innocent. Nothing is sacred not even our children.
Like Lot he was begging them to leave off being wicked. We too must contend with our LBGT friends and family to repent from their wickedness and receive the gift of forgiveness through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ and be saved, before God's Holy Wrath destroys them.
With all my heart I believe this planet is on the brink of experiencing the terrible Wrath of God's judgment. Please repent before it is too late!
