Wolfsbane, Aconite and A Christian

Words are so interesting, especially when you begin to research them.  I am thankful to Webster for his dictionary.  When we were children my mother had a huge unabridged dictionary.  The youngest son in our family was surrounded by girls.  There were nine children in our family.  The oldest was a boy followed by five girls then another boy followed by two more girls.  In order to get what he wanted my brother often resorted to his physically superior power over us girls.  My brother is over 6 feet tall.  Most of the girls are 5' 2" or shorter but I am almost 5' 9".  One afternoon he wanted to watch "Combat" but my short sister who was older than him was watching something else and would not cede the TV to my brother.  Soon a wrestling match ensued and the baby sister and I jumped in on my older sister's behalf.  Realizing quickly that even the three of us could not subdue my brother I reached for the unabridged dictionary and beat him over the head a few times.  That ended the wrestling match.  Dictionaries are quite handy.

Word Number 1

Wolfsbane is not defined in Webster's it simply says "same as  ACONITE (sense 1)

Word Number 2

Aconite 1. any of a genus of plants of the buttercup family, with blue, purple, or yellow hoodlike flowers: most species are poisonous

Word Number 3

Christian 1. A person professing belief in Jesus as the Christ, or in the religion based on the teachings of Jesus.

Word Number 4

Bane 1. ruin 2. the cause of distress, death, or ruin 3. deadly poison

I listen to tons of Christian Apologists.  Their links are throughout my Blog.  It amazes me how many "Christian preachers" (and I use that term loosely)  get away with delivering poison to Christendom every time they speak or write a book.  People, so called Christians, can't wait for their next sermon or next book.

Most of what passes for biblical teaching is wolfsbane delivered by "a" "con" "ite" to pseudo "Christians."

Technically, aconite is divided thus in the dictionary ac-o-nite but for my purpose I am dividing it "a" "con" "ite."

I have to ask myself when and how did we the people of God, followers of Jesus Christ, become so deceived?  My own personal experience was simply and issue of not paying attention.  Slowly over time I ate tiny doses of poison from the pulpit till I built up a resistance.  Then I could sit under poison anytime and it did not make me sick.

Now openly, the "wolves" stand in the pulpits and deliver huge doses of poison to the people and call themselves "Christian" while they deny the Word of God.  If you've read any of my blogs then you know that I  declare the Word of God is Jesus Christ in ink and paper format.  The "pulpit wolves" therefore deny Jesus Christ and His Deity.  The pew warmers let them get away with being a con ite.

According to Romans 3:9-20 all of mankind is guilty before God.

Romans 3:9-20 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. 19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.      

Many of today's most high profile "preachers" are refusing to preach the gospel in truth and love.  They are trendy and all inclusive.  Everyone is going to heaven they say.  Everyone is a child of God they say.  And yet the very word, Christian, denotes a professer of Jesus Christ.  A Buddhist does not profess Jesus Christ, A Hindu does not profess Jesus Christ, A Wiccan does not profess Jesus Christ,  Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses may profess Jesus Christ but it is a twisted Jesus Christ and not Jesus Christ as He has revealed Himself in scripture.

If a person does not follow Jesus Christ as revealed in the Word of God then that person is NOT A CHRISTIAN by definition.

If you are in an all inclusive everybody's going to heaven church not only are you being fed poison, wolfsbane, by a con ite, you are eating that poison to your death.  -- Get out of there now!!!

I am having to train myself to listen for the truth and to reject poison.  There are many good "Christian" apologists standing for the truth helping the true sheep to understand and follow the Word of God as revealed in Holy Scripture.

Remember the antidote to Wolfsbane/Aconite, is the Word of God, open your bible up and starting reading it today!!

Romans 3:21-26 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath sent forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forebearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness:that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

It is faith in the work of Jesus Christ at the cross and that His blood is the propitiation (appeasement)(payment) for our sin debt required by God.  The whole of mankind is fallen including the men and women in the pulpit.  Follow the Word of God!
