The Rob Pattinson/Kristen Stewart Break-Up
I am sure that Rob Pattinson felt like our car looked after the tree limb came crashing through our sunroof. Learning that Kirsten Stewart had sex with a married man surely crushed his heart. But like our car the damage to his heart will eventually heal.
Since I don't personally know either of them you might ask what business do I have to comment? Therefore, before I analyze their personal life together I want to take the litmus test of morality. There are 10 points. I am scoring those points worth 10 points for a total possible score of 100 percent.
1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Well I am a rotten sinner through and through so I guess I am qualified to discuss the nature of sin.
I am reminded of the incident in John 8 of the adulteress woman. Jesus instructed the scribes and the Pharisees that the one without sin among them should cast the first stone. They all left without casting that first stone. Jesus responded to the woman by first asking where her accusers where, then stating that he did not condemn her and then instructed her to GO AND SIN NO MORE.
So, what of Rob and Kristen? What should happen for them? Ideally, he should sincerely forgive her. Whether he wants to wade back into that relationship is a matter he has to tackle on his own. The issue of a broken trust is one that is rarely resolved and since they are not married walking away is pretty simple. Kristen? Sin always brings death in some way, a relationship, a reputation. Hopefully, she truly regrets her actions and has true remorse but who knows?
As a Christian, my forgiveness for my sins lies in confessing them to Jesus Christ. As my Redeemer, His blood covers my sins - past, present and future.
I do not envy Hollywood couples. Their lives are spent in a fantasy world, overwhelmed with enormous wealth, beleaguered by crazed fans, idolized the world over, how can anyone have a normal loving long lasting relationship under those circumstances?
I highly recommend marriage over living together for one thing. Here is a link to a website on the statistics of cohabitating vs. marriage.

Hopefully, they will both think twice before they move in with someone. Honestly, if you love someone deeply and want to get married but they suggest living together first . . . well I suggest you walk away because obviously they do not have the same depth of feeling for you. Harsh but true.
I know nothing of Rob and Kristen's personal life's but like all of Hollywood they live in a glass house. I am so thankful my house has walls.

I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. For Rob and Kristen I can only hope that they are both truly converted Christians and not only have asked for forgiveness but also forgive one another.
